Brain Swelling and Damage Associated With Vaccines – Inappropriately Labeled Shaken Baby Syndrome

With all due respect to what’s been presented at this meeting, the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines needs to hear about the unfortunate miscarriage of justice against parents whose children suffer brain swelling vaccine damage and are legally prosecuted by authorities with such charges as Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS). Munchausen by Proxy (MSBP), Fictitious Induced Illness (FII), Non-Accidental Injury (NAI), Physical Abuse, Failure to Protect, and Child Abuse.
Numerous infants and toddlers suffer brain trauma with or without hemorrhages; brain swelling (edema); and cardio-respiratory events shortly after vaccinations to which the medical profession and civil authorities attribute some form of child abuse because of the terrible misconception that vaccines are not capable of producing such health anomalies.
The Iowa District Court adjudicated such a case June 1, 2010. It is case number JVJV002265 wherein a six-month old male was removed from his parents care for close to eight months because they were charged with Shaken Baby Syndrome after the child suffered traumatic brain injury following three vaccines administered simultaneously: Pentacel, Prevnar 7, and Rotateq. Furthermore, the child had a facial hemangioma that exploded in the doctor’s office immediately upon administration of the vaccines. Medical staff was witness to the event and an MRI confirmed traumatic brain injury.
The Iowa court ruled that the parents were not responsible and that the problem could be a result of vaccines. Dr. Harold E. Buttram, MD, who was the medical expert for the parents, documented this case in his paper Subdural Hemorrhages Occurring in an Infant Immediately Following Vaccination (now in review for journal publication) wherein he methodically charts the infant’s anamnestic allergic response to vaccines at six months of age. Such responses should preclude further administration of all vaccines, but when I interviewed the child’s father for the article I wrote about the case, and which was published on the Internet, the father told me that the day before my phone call, the authorities mandated the child receive more vaccinations to which he had a reaction.
I respectfully ask this learned committee to consider the implications of such medical and civil directives that fly in the face of medicine’s prime objective: First do no harm. Parents must no longer be charged legally with damages caused by vaccines. There are numerous medical tests that will exonerate child abuse charges if only the vaccine community will acknowledge that vaccines can cause brain swelling and damage. Please, I implore you on behalf of the children who suffer brain damage and their parents who are maliciously charged with child abuse, that you use your good offices to alert the medical profession to what is happening to infants and children and to recognize its ethical responsibility to identify the true offending agent: toxins in vaccines. Thank you for listening to my appeal on behalf of those who don’t seem to have a voice in this matter.
