Fearful UK Healthcare Workers Refuse Flu Vaccine, US Nurse Fired

The side effects of the flu vaccine have been causing many UK healthcare workers to question its safety. The latest figures show the uptake for the vaccine has been as low as 26%. Professor David Salisbury, director of immunization, told Nursing Times that the healthcare professionals were making a big mistake and risked not only their own lives, but the lives of their patients. Salisbury, a firm believer in vaccines, represents the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunizations as the Medical Secretary for the Department of Health. The JCVI is an independent expert advisory committee that advises Ministers on matters relating to the provision of vaccination and immunisation services. This means that Professor Salisbury would have full access to all paperwork and studies relating to all vaccines recommend for use in the UK.

Professor Salisbury actively encourages ‘at risk groups’ to have the flu vaccination. The NHS website it clearly states:

People in at-risk groups are urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Pregnant women are being offered the seasonal flu jab for the first time as they have been judged to be at greater risk from the H1N1 virus.

Professor David Salisbury, Director of Immunisation at the Department of Health said:

“The effects of flu are not to be underestimated. It is not the same as getting a cold and can seriously affect your health.

“If you are in a risk group, then I would urge you to visit your GP surgery and get the vaccination as soon as possible. It is not too late to get vaccinated for your protection and that of your family.”

In another article in the Nursing Times he makes his feelings crystal clear saying that there was no evidence that the vaccine was not safe. He called those in high risk groups who refused to be vaccinatedfoolhardy”. He said:“It is putting yourself at unnecessary risk. One vaccinated grandmother who decided to take his advice actually died from the SWINE FLU! Eleanor Carruthers a grandmother from Merseyside went ahead with the flu vaccine because she was in the ‘at risk group’. Carruthers suffered from emphysema and lung cancer. Ironically, the UK is currently using Fluvirin – the flu vaccine that is supposed to protect against three strains of flu, including the SWINE FLU! Obviously it was not effective in the case of Mrs Carruthers.

In 2007 the same vaccine caused an 18 year old to have a grand mal convulsion lasting 20 seconds within minutes of receiving the vaccination (http://www.patientsville.com/vaccines…)

In fact the website EmpowHer has a massive list of the side effect of this vaccine which include fever, sweating, shivering, fatigue (or flu) transient thrombocytopenia (which is a blood disorder), febrile convulsions, encephalomyelitis (inflammation of the brain) and Guillian-Barre-Syndrome.

Despite the apparent lack of data however, Professor Salisbury recommends that all pregnant women have the vaccine. The Telegraph reports him saying:

I am not aware of any reason why pregnant women should not be vaccinated.”

In the document aptly titled ‘Safeguarding Public Health’ issued by MHRA, you will find all you ever needed to know about the Fluvirin-H1N1 vaccine. It is not for the faint hearted. The ingredients alone is enough to make you run. These include Thimerosal and Formaldehyde. The document explains how the chicken eggs they use come from healthy batches of chickens. The eggs are sanitised using the machine immediately before incubation and the process occurs in three stages; wash, rinse and sanitise. The list of side effects again is impressive. Despite all this, the USA has come up with an ideal solution to make sure that their healthcare workers have the vaccine. They have decided on the ‘get the vaccine or lose your job’ approach.

“No vaccine, no work.” is what hospitals staff throughout the USA are being told by their employers. This mandate is now becoming a condition of employment.

This, of course, is a backhanded way of force vaccinating large numbers of the population using emotional blackmail. This ‘condition of employment’ includes all members of hospital staff. This includes janitors, catering staff and even secretaries. One nurse who opted out of the vaccine found out that this was one rule not to be broken.

All health workers, including office staff at St Joseph’s Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan, were ordered to have both the flu vaccine and the whopping cough vaccine or face losing their job. Nurse Karen Bashista refused to have the vaccines and was immediately fired.

Bashista feels very strongly about her decision not to have the vaccine. She told ABC Action News that she had managed to reach the age of 60 without ever having a flu vaccine. She concluded that her mother, aged 95, was once vaccinated and ended up so ill she nearly ended up in hospital. Bashista is now convinced that her refusal to have the vaccine led to her being fired.

Spokesperson for St Joseph’s Hospital, Lakashmi Halasyamani, said that before bringing in the new rule the uptake for the vaccine was around 50%. She feels that the decision to make vaccines a condition of employment was the right one. Figures of those who have now been vaccinated has now reached around 95% she concluded. Another article reporting on the story reported that Bashista had an unblemished work record. She had previously been a winner of ‘outstanding nurse of the year’ until her refusal to have the flu vaccine that is.

St Joseph’s is not alone in bringing in the new policy. The Abington Health System in Pennsylvania suspended over four dozen employees without pay back in October after they refused to be vaccinated. The health system includes Abington Memorial Hospital and Lansdale Hospital, who are both among the sixty U.S. healthcare systems that now require all employees to get the seasonal flu shot. Utah, however, is using a different tactic. They have begun to refuse to employ people who have not had their routine vaccines. The board of health have argued that it is unbelievable why anyone would want to work in health sector if they did not believe in vaccinations. They have decided that all new workers are required to have a whole list of vaccines. These include the influenza, chicken pox, measles, mumps and rubella, as well as whooping cough.

This is emotional blackmail. Healthcare employers are giving vast numbers of people no choice but to have the vaccine. In these times of financial hardship and diminishing work placements, employees have no choice. In effect this is a choice between losing their security and livelihood or having a the vaccine. A vaccine which has been found to be ineffective and potentially dangerous.

    Thank you so much Christina for covering this issue and exposing the truth behind this! I am appalled by the threatening behaviour of the gov’t and industry when it comes to this. This is as close as you can get to FORCED vaccination and it is WRONG!!! IF vaccination worked so well, why would they have to force people to take them? I hope and pray that people will start to realise the dirty truth behind this issue. It is morally wrong to take away a persons source of income and ability to provide for their family because of refusal to vaccinate.

    Historically, pregnant women, babies, senior citizens, and those who were immune compromised were warned to not receive any vaccinations. I suppose the correct medical thinking at that time was vaccination(s) hindered the ability for the body’s immune system to function properly? I have to think so.
    Having said that, I might make a bizarre suggestion: it will sicken millions. So, we force health care workers to vaccinate and we will automatically disable a few thousand of them across the continent. We vaccinate the aged and sicken them as well….same for children/babies over 6 mos, and pregnant women. We are seeing the consequences…..spontaneous abortion. This is nothing more than an agenda with a very sinister underpinning which carries huge, negative consequence to all who submit.

    It seems utterly unreal that such basic freedoms, such as the right to own your own body and decide what you will put into it, is being declared null by whatever powers that try to force vaccine upon you.

    The whole medical system is based upon a false foundation (allopathy, the germ theory), and therefore its actions conform to their false beliefs and delusions. When they believe that a germ or virus causes every single sickness or dis-ease in the body, they will continue to look for these little bug-a-boos and try to “isolate” them and make up poisons to try and kill them.

    What they refuse to know (perhaps because there is so much profit in patentable vaccines and drugs) is that health can never be gained by the ingestion or injection of poison.

    What a person shuns while in good health, is the same substance you should shun in ill health. How does the nature of a poison “change” simply because the body is sick? The whole drug theory is based on superstitious voodoo beliefs. They give power to the drug (or to the magic potion, elixir, frog-leg-and-bat-wing brew, etc.) rather than to the miraculously-made human body and its amazing capacity to heal itself.

    When they have no clue as to why a body becomes sick and ill at ease, they also have no clue as to what do. Hence the suppression of symptoms, and treating of them, rather than ever dealing with CAUSE. Remove the cause, provide the conditions for health in the body, and the sickness will abate, as long as the body has the capacity to do so and is not too damaged.

    Reading about such dark-age medical mentality is despairing. Our medical system, like it or not, is still in the dark ages. We’re only substituting vials of pus and toxins for arsenic and leeches.

    I once wrote an article entitled ‘The Phamaceutical Industries Cauldron’. It seems that there are vaccines for everything either on the market or soon will be. I read about one for the ‘deadly hospital bug’ today. A bar of carbolic soap and a matron in charge of wards worked when I was young!

    In the U.S., appx. 70% of doctors and 60% of health-care workers refuse the flu $hot.
    Perhaps they know best as they are on the front lines of treating patients and see the
    results of how damaging the flu shot can be. Ingredients such as formaldehyde, aluminum,
    thimerosol (49.6% ethyl mercury), squalene, msg, peanut oil, carbolic acid, neomycin,
    streptomycin, polysorbate 80 (reproductive sterilization chemical), dead animal pus, foreign
    viruses, etc. are typically found in vaccine serums, including the flu $hot. Great stuff to be
    putting into oneself, wouldn’t you say?

    Injecting neuro-toxic and carcinogenic poisons only serves to compromise and weaken
    the immune system, which is perhaps the grand idea that drug co$ and their co-horts would
    like to see. Healthy patients do not contribute to the bottom line of drug co$. Keep ‘em sick,
    uneducated, and disenfranchised and you have patients for life. As a pharma friend remarked,
    the drug co$ motto is: “womb to tomb, a customer for life”. Caveat emptor!

    Well said, everyone. Notice how little this atrocity is reported in mainstream media. When I bring the issue up in public I get everything from an odd look to a “Wow, didn’t know that.” and then they move on. If they can keep this hidden long enough without true public outcry they will get large numbers of health care workers vaccinated and then once more claim safety.

    I have to share one of my many personal stories on vaccines and I hope you will feel free to use it.

    In 1976 a 19 year old private at Fort Dix named David Lewis reported feeling a little under the weather but forged ahead instead of resting and died about 24 hours later. Since a team of researchers found hundreds of soldiers had been exposed and they feared a return of the swine flu killing millions President Gerald Ford issued the release of the vaccine to the public. Keep in mind that only one man ever died in this “outbreak” and that the hundreds who were exposed did NOT contract the flu. Hundreds were exposed and their bodies naturally fought the virus off, as happens every day in our bodies.

    I was in 5th grade at the time. My father had been a physician and although he died at the age of 42 we were still in touch with many physician friends, some of whom took it upon themselves to make sure we had “good medical care”. At the urging of some of these doctors we took that swine flu vaccine. For the sake of time let me just say that I had never been so sick. My diagnosis was bronchitis and my mother’s was pneumonia, but that doesn’t do the illness justice. I thought I was going to die. The room spun every time I sat up and I threw up in my bed. My mother had always been able to take care of me but she was essentially passed out in her room in some sort of semi-conscious state.

    Obviously we survived the ordeal but our reactions were never included with those you may hear of today. No one investigated our symptoms. We just moved on.

    Jump forward to 2001, after many reactions in my family and each one in essence ignored, our children were vaccinated with Menomune. My daughter reacted in many ways similar to my swine flu reaction. When she regained consciousness however the only word she knew was “cupcake”. I had to reteach her name, age, letters, numbers, everything she had learned. She showed signs of dyslexia, although I was told it was too soon to tell and I was admonished for even “speculating” at such. Again there was no official investigation, no unofficial investigation, or even a mention of a relation between the vaccine and the shot with the exception of the ER doctor posting “vaccine reaction” in her notes. We witnessed many similar reactions in children with that shot and yet not one was reported to VAERS. Of course any one who investigates further will find that is the case with all vaccines in general. Our doctor believed us but the vast majority of physicians would not only refuse to listen to parents concerns, they redirected them, standard practice today when a parent questions a shot.

    I randomly added this article below. There are quite a few concerning the 1976 swine flu scare and it really doesn’t matter how you look at it. Only one man died but many, many reacted or died from the shot and it was tucked neatly away.

    YET PROF. DAVID SALISBURY CANNOT SEE ANY REASON WHY PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD NOT BE VACCINATED! What on earth goes on in this man’s head?
    The statement is enough to make us realize how distant from real life’s reality the vaccine promoters operate.

    PATIENT COUNSELING INFORMATION
    “Vaccine recipients and guardians should be informed by their health care provider of the potential benefits and risks of immunization with FLUVIRIN®”.
    The fact is that there are no health care providers, nor anyone else, who knows the potential benefits and risks, neither for Fluvirin nor for any other vaccine.

    REPORTING ADVERSE REACTIONS
    Typically, it is stated that adverse reactions should be reported by giving the contact information to the manufacturer or to VAERS. The information for the manufacturer is given first. It is incredible that manufacturers are permitted to collect these reports. There can hardly be an incitement for them to formally report the adverse reactions which they receive:

    PANDEMRIX vaccine instead of Fluvirin may be like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.
    It is admitted that Pandemrix “may not be so effective”. In addition to containing mercury/thimerosal it is one of the vaccines on the market which contains the highest concentration of squalene, an adjuvant which is suspected of increasing the risk of auto-immune diseases. It also contains polysorbat 80/Tween 80 which may cause anaphylactic shock and is suspected of increasing the risk of infertility.

    An additional serious property is that polysorbate 80 renders the blood-brain barrier more porous, thus facilitating passage of mercury and other substances through the barrier and into the brain tissue.

    All this is more than enough to make me furious, but the following is tragically comical.     The article is worth reading. It mentions several prominent vaccine promoters including Dr. Offit, here’s an interesting quote:
    “It is highly amusing that in relation to the National Vaccine Information Center run by Barbara Loe Fisher, the best that Offit can do is complain that Fisher has a tendency to believe the parents rather than him”.

    I have just been threatened with DISMISSAL! for refusing my Flu Vaccine, I work on a ship under British Law. Is this legal?? Surely I do not legally have to have this vaccine, I have never had the flu, I have never had a vaccine, I am middle aged fit and healthy.

    Flu vaccines are not mandatory in the UK but I am not sure about Maritime law on this one. Let me do some research and I will email you.

    Military – Members, Families, Schools,
    and Contractors

    Military regulations offer military members medical and administrative exemptions, the latter of which includes religious exemptions. Religious exemptions are also available to military families, children in military schools, and civilian military contractors. Different regulations and laws may apply to each of these different areas; e.g., military members and schools are governed by Department of Defense reguations, while military contractors’ religious objections fall under federal statutes and civilian civil rights regulations.

    For military members, the exemption can be withdrawn if the mission is deemed to require that. Presumably, denial of an exemption application or withdrawal of a previously granted exemption would most likely occur when working outside the U.S. or in any location where infectious diseases are considered to pose a high risk–e.g., third-world and war-torn countries.

    Military personnel cannot be vaccinated while a decision on a exemption application is pending.

    There are some branch-specific variations. Strict adherence to the applicable regulations is necessary to ensure that proper procedure is followed and all requirements are properly presented. Care should be take to ensure that your statement of religious beliefs includes appropriate information and details and excludes anything that is not needed and that could undermine your exemption claim. For these reasons, an experienced attorney is recommended.     Healthare worker forced to receive vaccine or loose job!!!! Still suffering side effects of flu vaccine.  Eleven days and counting, still having asthma attacks, severe headaches, and uncontrollable cough! Some 2 hours after receiving shot an “I don’t feel so good” came over me, accelerating to tightness in chest with difficulty breathing, on to excessive coughing with respiratory symptoms mounting, mucous build up, headache, sore throat, neck and face swelling.  Much Benadryl and Ibuprofen taken!!  Next day was still down with debilitating headache, severe respiratory issues, neck and facial swelling.  Unable to sit up let alone drive, and no appointment available, I was forced to seek medical advise via the triage nurse with the doctor giving advice “allergic reaction to vaccine” was then noted.  But, because I was unable to see physician during initial reaction, even though it is has been charted, I will probably be forced into same dilema next year, with no compensation for work missed. This is the second time I have had to get the shot, first reaction was not as violent an attack but still had serious reaction and lengthy illness, at which time they were insistant it doesn’t make you sick it’s ”just a coincidence”. This incident was much worse, next maybe be life threatening!
