Karachi: The first formal meeting of Board of Trustees (BoT) of recently established “Trust for Vaccines & Immunizationî (TVI) was held in a local hotel in Karachi. The meeting was attended by prominent Pediatricians and Philanthropists of the country. Dr Abdul Ghaffar Billoo, Mr. Naseem Iqbal, Dr. Ejaz Vohra and Dr. Tariq Iqbal Bhutta were among the distinguished participants.
The Trust is the first of its kind in Pakistan solely committed to the cause of promoting use of vaccines to reduce the burden of vaccine preventable diseases in children in Pakistan. The Participants reiterated the need for a platform that can bridge the gap between the implementers of immunization programs such as Government and Civil Society through education and advocacy at different forums.
