Big Pharma’s Sugar Daddy: The U.S. Congress

Tuesday, May 10, 2011, I had the distinct pleasure of viewing a live feed of the press conference held on the steps of the U.S. Vaccine Court in Washington, DC, where attorneys representing clients and families damaged by vaccines, particularly autism disorder spectrum disabilities, challenged the U.S. Congress to investigate what’s really going on with the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, the U.S. Vaccine Court set up under the statute creating that law, and its unfair compensation tactics.

While reading a companion article, “Unanswered Questions From The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program: A Review of Compensated Cases of Vaccine-Induced Brain Injury” by Mary Holland, Louis Conte, Robert Krakow and Lisa Colin, published in the Pace Environmental Law Review at http://digitalcommons.pace.edu/pelr/, I became totally incensed when I read the following:

“In addition to broad liability protection, the 1986 Law also

provides another shield to manufacturers under federal law. 48″

“The 1986 Law permits them the right to not disclose known risks

to parents or guardians of those being vaccinated. Resting on the

“learned intermediary” doctrine, manufacturers bear no liability

for giving, or failing to give, accurate or complete information to

those vaccinated, and have only to provide relevant information

to doctors, who must give patients CDC Vaccine Information

Statements.49”

Here is what those citation numbers refer to:

48. See 42 U.S.C. § 300aa-22(c).

49. See id.;; CDC, Vaccine Information Statements, ww.cdc.gov/vaccines/pub/vis/default.htm (last visited Mar. 21, 2011).

Well, I must tell you, that stopped me dead in my tracks and I just had to let my readers know about this information, which most health consumers obviously do not know. Now we have it in writing, and know where to find it at law.

If anything should get parents’ ire up about Congress investigating the stupidity of their actions that causes so much suffering and grief since 1986, it is the above information about non-disclosure of known risks to parents.

Please support the authors of the above report and others, such as I [who filed a whistleblower complaint with the U.S. House of Representatives Government Reform and Oversight Committee January 12, 2011, about neurotoxins and poisons in vaccines], who are calling for a congressional investigation of the vaccine travesty by contacting your three members of Congress and ask them to hold hearings to investigate the vaccine compensation program AND commission an independent medical inquiry into the autism cases compensated under the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. You may contract your members of congress at this web site http://www.congressmerge.com/onlinedb/index.htm. Please do it NOW.
