Time to Say “Enough!”

There comes a time in everyone’s consciousness and life when one realizes that too many things are going off beam and that life is becoming more problematic day by day, especially now when it comes to our health, which probably is our most valued personal possession, and which seems to be undermined in various and sundry ways and fashions.

Let’s examine some of the medical ‘fashions’ for starters, since most healthcare consumers think that those professionals wearing white coats topped with stethoscopes really know what they are talking about.

White Coats and Cigarettes

First, and foremost, I’d like to remind everyone that MDs were proud to recommend Camels cigarettes as the brand most doctors preferred and smoked. Don’t believe me; check out this advertisement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCMzjJjuxQI. Now, let’s just try to consider what damage that did to those who smoked in the 1950s because they thought since doctors preferred Camels, then that brand of cigarettes—if not all cigarettes—were ‘safe’ to smoke. Nothing could have been further from the facts, and we probably have doctors and the tobacco industry to thank for the increase of heart disease and cancers today.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website,

The adverse health effects from cigarette smoking account for an estimated 443,000 deaths, or nearly one of every five deaths, each year in the United States. http://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/data_statistics/fact_sheets/health_effects/effects_cig_smoking/

Besides the above statistics, tobacco smoking—an acquired bad health habit—is a leading cause of heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and chronic obstructive lung diseases (COPD). Personally, I think that if doctors had not supported tobacco use as they did with their tacit approval of cigarette ads, we probably would not have a tobacco industry that ‘kills people legally’ and tobacco farmers who were subsidized by the federal government at one time. Check out how those subsidies worked at http://www.thedailypage.com/isthmus/article.php?article=30630. How much has that increased the U.S. budget and Consumer Price Index over the years?

Today doctors have come to their professional and medical science senses, thankfully, but how long were consumers misled, and why didn’t MDs speak up sooner? So, here’s an issue where we can say that doctors and the tobacco industry really didn’t know what they were talking about or, if they did, they ‘fudged’ and kept the scientific facts from consumers. Wouldn’t you say that’s equivalent to a ‘conspiracy’?

White Coats, Dietitians, and Trans Fats

Second, and probably more sinister, is the fact that MDs from the 1950s until relatively recently (2003) recommended margarine—a trans fat that recently was regulated—as being healthier than butter (a natural fat the body can utilize efficiently, not a plasticized, man made fat) for heart disease patients. What a crock of nutritional crap that was!

On July 11, 2003, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a regulation requiring manufacturers to list trans fat on the Nutrition Facts panel of foods and some dietary supplements.

http://www.news-medical.net/health/Trans-Fat-Regulation.aspx

Why are trans fats bad – Harvard studies

In an update on Trans Fatty Acids and Coronary Heart Disease, published in the New England Journal of Medicine (April 2006), Harvard researchers Waltre [sic] Willet and others wrote: The increase in risk of coronary heart disease caused by trans fat is higher than predicted by effects on blood lipids alone.

Back in 1994, Harvard researcher Walter Willett estimated that trans fats were responsible for at least 30,000 premature deaths from heart disease in the US each year.

In the 2006 update, that estimate has been revised upwards – to between 72,000 and 228,000 deaths that can be prevented by eliminating trans fats. http://www.natural-cancer-cures.com/why-are-trans-fats-bad.html

Trans fats were found in just about anything and everything one could put into one’s mouth, e.g., margarine, pastries, processed foods, snacks, candies, fast food restaurant foods, chips, crackers—the list goes on and on. Where were the doctors and the dietitians, in particular, who should have known better? Sadly, both professions spout only what the food processing industry instructs them about food and ‘supposed nutrition’. Those who said trans fats were dangerous to human health—and I was one who was very vocal about that, even going to the FDA Commissioner Kessler in the late 1980s asking for the FDA to investigate trans fats and declare them dangerous—were termed “quacks”.

Well, look what’s happened today! Many states are adopting laws regarding trans fats… http://www.rd411.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=770:new-laws-on-trans-fat&catid=72:food-labels&Itemid=351

So, here’s another area—or food fashion—where consumers trusted their health to medical professionals (MDs and RDs), plus the food industry’s ‘spin pabulum’, that led to more heart disease and other chronic diseases like cancer, depression, diabetes, liver dysfunction … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_fat. Wouldn’t you say that as healthcare professionals, they should have known better and not have misled the public about important health and dietary information? So, how can we trust them now? I can remember a medical doctor telling me, “If there was anything to nutrition, we’d know about it.” So much for what MDs knew and know.

Fluoride IS Good for You?

Third, is the problem of fluoridating municipal water supplies. Fluoride is a protoplasmic poison that damages more enzyme systems in the body than you can shake a stick at! Furthermore, fluoride is a key ingredient in cancer chemotherapy pharmaceuticals. Don’t believe that? Well, check out the Index of Fluorinated Pharmaceuticals at http://www.slweb.org/ftrcfluorinatedpharm.html. Perhaps you will be shocked at what you read. Now you may realize that you are being medicated every time you take a sip of municipal water from the tap. The negative health effects of fluoride include

Fluoride’s adverse effects on the male reproductive system has been reported in many species, including humans. http://www.fluoridealert.org/pesticides/nrc.male.repro.april.2004.htm

To learn more about fluoride’s adverse health side effects, check out this http://www.historyofwaterfilters.com/fluoride-2.html. Here’s yet another indication where healthcare consumers believed the U.S. dental profession, HHS, CDC, EPA, and FDA about fluoride being a ‘healthful’ substance added to potable water to prevent cavities, which is not factual since dentists now are placing sealants on molars to prevent cavities [dental caries]. After almost sixty years of fluoridating water supplies in the USA, the HHS and EPA reduced the amount of fluoride being placed in water on January 7, 2011. See this for the reason why http://www.hhs.gov/news/press/2011pres/01/20110107a.html.

However, dentists now are applying dental sealants that contain the toxic chemical BPA onto children’s teeth to prevent cavities, in essence, a double whammy: Fluoride and BPA-containing dental sealants! http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfmoms/detail?entry_id=71848

So here again healthcare consumers put their faith and trust in another healthcare profession, dentistry, only to be misled about the scientific facts regarding fluoride. Adding fluoride to drinking water supposedly started out as an efficient way to dispose of a hazardous waste—aluminum tailings—that were piling up after World War II. Again, healthcare consumers were led down the primrose path, which is causing more chronic diseases and probable dementias than anyone can count.

Pharmaceuticals

Fourth, probably is going to upset a lot of people because it’s about the ‘sacred cow’ of medicine: Pharmaceuticals. Those businesses and industries that produce them go under the euphemism of Big Pharma. That industry, in my opinion, is nothing more than a ‘pseudo-scientific’ control freak that has the U.S. Congress, FDA, medical professions, federal and state health agencies, and healthcare consumers wrapped around its ‘greedy, conniving, media-savvy game plan’. Don’t get me wrong; we need medicines. What we don’t need, in my opinion, is mandatory medication for normal life processes, and laws mandating we must take their hazardous products as ‘health-enhancing’ products.

How Big Pharma is controlling and spinning it’s ‘wares’—many of which are not effective and may cause more diseases—is revealed in the stunning book, The Risks of Prescription Drugs, Donald W. Light, Ed., Columbia University Press [2010], Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=the+risks+of+prescription+drugs&x=15&y=19. The MDs and PhDs who were contributing authors explain what’s going on: “The medicalization of Americans.”

However, we know the sad stories about drug recalls and class actions lawsuits for damages done to trusting healthcare consumers who took prescription drugs Big Pharma sold for megabucks. To understand the monetary scope of these often ‘pharmaceutical disasters’, check out the 2009 HHS site for Medicare and Medicaid at https://www.cms.gov/NationalHealthExpendData/25_NHE_Fact_Sheet.asp. Impressive corporate P&L bottom lines should be going through your head right now, I’m inclined to think.

But, here’s what needs to be factored in that apparently is even more disturbing: All those recalled drugs that caused other health problems [besides deaths] that had to be treated with other medications thereby running up the cost of healthcare exponentially. Here’s something to ‘digest’ about prescription drugs that have been recalled:

According to Thomas J. Henry, Injury Attorneys, website,

In fact, Darvocet has become one of the top 25 most commonly prescribed medications and an estimated 10 million Americans are currently taking Darvocet. However, we are now learning that Darvocet has caused over 10,000 deaths since 1980. http://thomasjhenrylaw.com/practice-areas/drug-recalls-and-pharmaceutical-litigation/darvocet/

Could that be termed ‘legal murder’?

Now let’s consider various examples taken from http://www.drugrecalls.com/

Avastin, a drug approved in 2008 to treat breast, lung, and kidney cancer, has been under investigation since it’s [sic] early approval was revoked by the FDA last December. Avastin, designed to treat terminal cancer patients, was reported to have adverse effects that outweighed its benefits.

Johnson & Johnson’s Phantom Recall

The CEO of Johnson & Johnson, William Weldon, recently admitted fault to side-stepping the FDA in attempting to keep quiet nearly half a dozen recalls. In his apology to the Committee of Oversight and Government Reform, Weldon said, “We made a mistake. We did not notify the FDA…we should have notified the FDA.”

In 2010 alone, an estimated 36.5 million prescriptions were dispensed for these drugs. Unfortunately, new research shows that instead of preventing fractures, use of these drugs [Actonel, Boniva, and Fosamax] may actually increase the risk of severe fractures in the femur.

The recent recall of numerous popular drugs has resulted in heightened scrutiny of certain blockbuster drugs with hearings before Congress in which at least one FDA researcher suggests that the FDA may be incapable of protecting consumers from unsafe drugs and that several other popular drugs currently on the market may also present unacceptable patient risk.

How does that grab you? Are you starting to squirm about the blind trust you have placed in the entire pharmaceutical industry pecking order? Personally, those whom I think ought to be held most responsible are the medical doctors who, in essence, are led around by their noses smelling the gratuities they collect from Big Pharma for writing scripts for the pharmaceuticals sales reps inundate them with.

Would you like to know my opinion as to why MDs aren’t blowing a whistle on this entire kit and caboodle of healthcare mismanagement? Since allopathic medicine is based upon the ‘magic bullet’ theory [Rx drugs], and since almost every pharmaceutical is a chemical compound that is patented and therefore a mega moneymaker, docs would have to incriminate two industries: pharmaceuticals and chemical companies which, in turn, would bring down the house of cards for everyone involved in what apparently may be the ultimate money-making scheme, in my opinion, since so many products are either defective, cause damage, or are recalled.

You ask where’s the FDA in all this? Read The Risks of Prescription Drugs to learn how the cozy game and ‘Get-Out-Of-Jail cards’ are played between FDA and Big Pharma. In my opinion, Congress ought to break up the FDA into two agencies: One for food, the other for drugs, and start over again. Did you know that since 2007 alone, there have been 3,500 major recalls in the United States?

Vaccines: No Safety Tests

Why do I say that? Well, nothing is more ridiculous than FDA’s handling of vaccines that Big Pharma produces. Instead of demanding safety studies from Big Pharma for vaccines, FDA accepts the ‘pseudo-science’ proffered as ‘gospel’ when, in reality, there are only a few weeks trials performed on many, if not all vaccines, and there are absolutely no safety studies performed with regard to neurotoxins, other poisons, and 3rd generation DNA vaccines that are genetically modified. Playing around with foreign DNA and syringing it into infants, children, toddlers, adults, and senior citizens is tantamount to medical malpractice and violation of the Nuremberg Code http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Code, I think. Why? Because no human on the face of the earth should have foreign DNA injected into him/her that, in essence, can lead to programming future generations’ DNA into probable chimeras.

Vaccines ‘Pseudo-science’

But that’s not all. Do you know about the SV40 virus in the polio vaccine given to millions of children in the 1950s that is now causing adult cancers? Don’t believe that? Then please check out this article wherein Congress even held an investigation into that issue fifty-some years late http://vactruth.com/2011/04/09/polio-vaccine-sv40-cancer/. Still another reason we can’t trust the FDA and Big Pharma on vaccines.

Recently the government of the African country of Nigeria took a most dreadful approach about vaccinating children. See this http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/news/2011/07/29/nigerian-state-to-prosecute-parents-over-polio-vaccines/. What some seem to not realize is that a past polio outbreak [2005] in that very country was attributed to the oral polio vaccine. Can you blame parents for not wanting to get their darling children vaccinated!

More than 10 billion doses have been given to children worldwide, and the vaccine has been credited with cutting polio incidence by more than 99 percent since 1988. Many more children are still paralyzed by the wild polio virus as compared to the virus in the vaccine. But no vaccine is risk-free.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21149823/ns/health-infectious_diseases/t/polio-outbreak-sparked-vaccine-experts-say/

Do you know about vaccines that have been recalled? Do you remember how we all were scared into a reality check in 2009 about the H1N1 flu pandemic that never panned out? Now read this about the H1N1 vaccine, “one of the largest vaccine recalls…”

In late 2009 and early 2010, one of the largest vaccine recalls involved both removal and field correction of the 2009 H1N1 Influenza Monovalent Vaccine. http://www.expertrecall.com/recall-services/product-recalls/pharmaceutical/vaccine-recalls/

Then check out this sad propaganda about vaccine recalls put out by the CDC. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/Vaccines/recalls.html. Can we trust it in view of all the mistakes we have learned about throughout this article.

There is going to be a grandiose push to vaccinate every breathing body in the USA, if not on the face of the earth, with vaccines that are not proven for safety by scientifically accepted protocols that must be followed for other pharmaceuticals. That safety testing must be done first before anything else is done to clean up the scandalous cover-ups that go on about vaccine adverse reactions. Vaccines ARE drugs and must follow the same protocols as any new prescription drug must follow before going to market. Now they are not required.

Just check out the VAERS reporting system that CDC maintains, which I think acts as CDC’s ‘safety’ study input. FDA allows Pharma to put vaccines out in the market place and then, “Let’s see what happens.” Regarding the HPV vaccine, please visit www.TruthAboutGardasil.org , and you will realize, in my opinion, just how obscene vaccine science and safety truly is.

If all the above isn’t enough, please consider this breaking news as of July 29, 2011

Charred Shrink Wrap in Merck Vaccines

reported by none other than The Wall Street Journal, which said:

Affected products include Gardasil, used against the human papillomavirus, as well as shots against shingles, measles/mumps rubella, pneumococcal disease and chicken pox.http://blogs.wsj.com/health/2011/07/29/charred-shrink-wrap-in-merck-vaccines-read-the-fda-inspection-reports/

So, the bottom line about all the fiascos medicine, the white coats, and other ancillary medical professions, especially Big Pharma, have dumped and duped upon healthcare consumers should be “Enough!” already. Stop forcing your ‘Sh*t Sherlock’ science upon a trusting consumer, and stop ‘buying’ your way through the U.S. Congress and the FDA.

For more information about the absurdity of vaccine science, please read Vaccines & Vaccinations: The Need for Congressional Investigation at http://vactruth.com/vaccines-vaccinations-the-need-for-congressional-investigation/ and maybe you will become enraged enough to say “Enough” and ask Congress to investigate vaccines per se.
