I think anyone seeing Brian Deer denying the Lancet 12 had bowel disease while the mom’s are reeling off all their babies’ bowel symptoms and showing Deer a picture of one of the babies with a colostomy bag smeared with diarrhea (following surgery on the baby’s colon), will think the man is nuts!   For my part, this documentary totally discredits Brian Deer.

Dr. Wakefield sued Brian Deer for defamation in a U.K. court.  The case was dismissed, and Dr. Wakefield paid Deer’s legal fees.   The reason is as follows:

Dr. Wakefield opted to end the Deer lawsuit himself because the court insisted that documents, which Dr. Wakefield would use in his defense in the forthcoming General Medical Council (GMC) hearing, be made available in the defamation proceeding against Brian Deer.  Dr. Wakefield chose not to do this.  Thus, the court did not reach the merits.  No judgment has ever been reached by any court about Dr. Wakefield’s claims against Brian Deer and the British Medical Journal for defamation.

The hearing before the GMC went against Andy, and culminated in the loss of his medical license.

The details of the GMC hearing, and of the events prior and following, are opened for anyone to learn through Dr. Wakefield’s book, Callous Disregard and the book Vaccine Epidemic by Louise Kuo Habakus, MA and Mary Holland, JD.  Holland focuses upon the facts of the GMC hearing in her chapter:  Who Is Dr. Andrew Wakefield? (Pages 223-229).

Any serious independent student of the vaccination debates appreciates the politics involved in the production and distribution of vaccines, because government, the medical industry, and Big Pharma are incestuously intertwined as major stakeholders in protecting and advancing vaccine development and vaccination.

Powerful vested interests orchestrate campaigns to protect the vaccine program and discredit anyone attacking this ‘cash cow’.  The profitability of vaccines was exponentially boosted by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which took away the publics’ right to sue vaccine manufacturers for vaccine damage. This act was passed in 1986 to protect vaccine producers.  There were so many lawsuits at that time that vaccine producers were threatening to withdraw production if government didn’t give them relief––government did their bidding and took them ‘off the hook’.

There were so many lawsuits?  Did you get that?  There were so many lawsuits!

Why didn’t the alarm bells sound from the tsunami of claimed damage leading to the ‘Vaccine Act’?  As wisely noted by Habakus and Holland in Vaccine Epidemic’s subtitle, “…Corporate Greed, Biased Science, and Coercive Government Threaten Our Human Rights, Our Health, and Our Children.”  Their book is part of a virtual avalanche of information on the dangers of vaccines, which can be found on www.vactruth.com, and other sights listed below.

It is not surprising that the medical/pharmaceutical industry would discredit anyone who is shaking humanity’s faith in vaccines and vaccination, as that threatens the pharmaceutical industry’s enormous profits.

Brian Deer, a journalist writing for News Internationals Sunday Times, was the only person in the world to complain to a regulatory body about the work of doctors at the Royal Free Hospital in London who diagnosed children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which their parents suggested had occurred following MMR vaccination.

In 2003, after 10 years work, legal aid was withdrawn from over 1,000 parents claiming damages in a suit in which Dr Andrew Wakefield was to appear as an expert witness.

In 2004 Deer wrote an exposé of Wakefield that was full of concoctions, half truths and fantasies and which claimed that the children examined by the team at the Royal Free were not ill.

Deer’s distorted pharma–imaginings became the basis of over 80 charges leveled against Dr Wakefield and three other doctors to be ‘tried’ by the General Medical Council (GMC).  The hearing took place over three years between 2007 and 2010 and became one of the longest regulatory hearings ever held in Britain. Brian Deer, the center of the whole plot, did not give evidence.

The GMC in the UK is not a court.  It is the regulator of the medical profession and the ensurer of proper standards in the practice of medicine, which of necessity acts in service of mainstream orthodox allopathic medical practice.

Vaccination, is deeply valued by mainstream medicine and the majority of the public, so anyone talking against it is attacked or ridiculed.  Such attacks are initiated and supported by a medical/pharmaceutical industry for purportedly noble reasons but only the most naïve or ill-informed can fail to recognize vaccine production and administration is highly beneficial and profitable to them.

    Excellent article. The disgraceful treatment which Dr Wakefield has been subjected to is a result of a longterm planned, organised international project:

    “Dr. Wakefield’s crucifixion is a desperate well-orchestrated effort to restore faith in risky vaccinations that the majority of people worldwide no longer trust” ~Dr. Horowitz.

    We noted that in connection with the harassment of Dr Wakefield simultaneous broadcasts from radio stations worldwide announced that his work was fraudulent and they interviewed “experts” who all said that the MMR vaccine was safe.

    We tuned in to several European and African radio stations.  Questions and answers in the interviews were identical, irrespective of where they were broadcast from in the world.

    The readers don’t have to just accept what the Wikipedia article says without verification – just follow the numerous citations given to original documents – such as the transcripts of the GMC hearing, the judge’s decision in Andy’s previously failed libel suit, etc.
    Predictably, you claim that any source that writes about the facts is ‘corrupt’ and the websites that have sprung up with wild unproven theories and excuses to explain away Wakefield’s behavior have ‘the truth’.
    I’m not concerned with trying to change the minds of Wakefield apologists.  I just want to make sure that anyone else reading this stuff has an opportunity to see what the real story is.

    And why is it you end every post with some sort of unrelated ‘test’ or challenge unrelated to the topic at hand?  Do you really think these straw men you construct prove anything?

    Because every other form of a court Wakefield has had available is biased and corrupted to the point that clearly none of that is any longer a viable consideration to go after in and as to those matters, and anywhere but where he has filed at. We have read articles as to some of the issues but no one has any knowledge of what is planned nor in the works for this state court. That, and as well other than what is known in the allegations of the filing itself. 

    Do you actually think he could get an unbiased hearing at the US federal level; or even in the UK? With the equally biased and heartless federal vaccine court connected to the same federal court system? I would if I were you, just stop gnashing your teeth in frustration, and wait for the outcome. Why are you so fearful of this mans outcome and hearing, if you actually believe he is guilty? And if the claims you make are true, then you wont need to worry. But you clearly are worried. What, you have no faith in a US state court? The same issues will be there, but this time they will not be able to control the evidentiary hearing process that they did before. That’s what scares you the most, doesn’t it?

    That should scare you even more, because his findings were replicated and found the same thing on at least 4 continents, and all those other studies adequately support his findings. Why does even the CDC lie about that, claiming no studies ever found nor replicated Wakefields findings? Yet even the AAP agrees that autistic children have a high rate of gut/bowel problems, and 1000′s of parents know that as well. 

    And would you deny as well that biomedical treatment has healed many children? And as well entirely reversed no speech entirely lost autism. 3 variable forms of it. Diet, heavy metal and antiviral detox. That’s pretty damning evidence for most honest people. But as long as people like you must deny it all and continue to the children will fail to be helped, receiving only more drugs. Now, THAT is not only corrupt but criminal in every sense of the term.

    What is odd about it is that for some they never need heavy metal detox. So that tells me that likely both aluminum containing vaccines and as well the MMR can cause autism.

    Letting children suffer needlessly and offering none of the help that is available through biomedical treatment; because having to much to lose, they must deny it all. Allowing 1000 of children to continue to be harmed by a 3 way attentuated live virus vaccine. Blaming it all on Wakefield. Falsely claiming that Wakefield killed children by his falsely  accused misalignment of a holy water believed right of passage vaccine. 

    They did that when he only reported what he honestly found and as many other studies have supported and four nearly duplicated the process finding similar and even additional results. The CDC denying that those studies exist; (abuse of authority, money, and power). Falsely accusing Wakefield of causing parents to not vaccinate, when all he advocated for was the single vaccines until, more study was done. The UK gov’t pulling the single shots from the shelf, so they had no choice but to use the MMR; what were they scared of? An outcome where the autism rate would go down when using single vaccines? Wakefield did not cause any deaths, their gov’t did. And if those were caused by lack of vaccinating; the parents were right and should have been fearful of the MMR vaccine. 

    Even today you can not get any of this through people like you’s head! You must deny it and keep blaming Wakefield as the villain, and irregardless hold to the misinformation you were provided. No matter how simple it all is. Complete fools! They clearly for some reason have to much to lose. You don’t claim to a harmful vaccine; as in their political world it is the equivalent of blasphemy to the honor of the savior vaccines and the political cash was. Not to mention being a direct all of their credibility and the savior mentality as to their their career. Who should you be mad at; Wakefield, or the CDC and all their minions?  

    Being you continue to support all this Argus, I would call you one of the villains, and definitely,  not a hero!

    I will ask you again, is there any significance to the name? How about the other Argus? Why are there two of you? Tag team partners, are you? Can’t do it alone? That’s what I thought.     I was wondering what kind of misconduct applies to a person who keeps vaccinating children with a known unsafe vaccine; and then denies it? They knew in the scientific circles, or at least some of them; that live vaccines should never be combined, much more in the same shot; and that was known well before one was ever made. But they have all the science, don’t they? What they say they have and what they really have are as always, two different things. I have looked at allot of that science on both sides, and that in fact is quite true. You clearly as well can not find any unbiased science on their side. It is rare; and as well rarely allowed. What does exist is allot weaker than most people would think. 

    It would as well be like if I drew up the designs for a car, and in my garage I built it and claimed I tested it for safety and the functional effectiveness of all the components, and driving. Then I made a few more cars and put them in a lot for sale. I started making all sorts of wild claims about the cars and the third guy to by a car drives out of the parking lot and the steering wheel falls off and he crashes into a tree. 4 days later he comes back all bandaged up in a wheel chair and demands a refund and claims he is going to sue. I say, oh no you cant get a refund, and no your not suing; I have the legal immunity of the Federal Car Act, and you now have to go to the federal government and file a claim that may take 8 to 10 years or more; if you want any compensation. I am NOT responsible and you can’t prove that the steering wheel actually fell off, because its back on now and I deny it ever fell off. The federal government will deny it too; and I told them to.

    I would be a real jerk, wouldn’t I? Well, that is nearly the same thing that the vaccine makers do to the parents of vaccine damaged children. And they keep telling everyone, oh don’t worry we did all the studies and it is all safe and effective. Problem is just like the car, I only looked at one out of four wheels; my brother Johnny put the steering wheel on; and I never even looked under the hood again, after the spark plug wires went on. Its still all good for me.

    No, I wouldn’t refer to it as paranoia at all. As much as you would like to falsely discredit me with a label of having a psychiatric condition and as well suggest some toxic medication that would dumb me down to your level. 

    If that is true, it is odd that you seem to be the only one in the system with the problem. What are you switching between, if anything that would cause that?

    Vaccines are a fraud being perpetrated on ALL of us in the general population. It has to do with a population reduction agenda.

    You have to wonder, don’t you, why Wakefield had to establish a legal fund and beg for donations to pay for the defamation suit he filed in Texas. After all, law firms traditionally take on plaintiff’s cases in lawsuits on a contingency basis – collecting payment only if the case is won.
    Unless . . . Andy and his lawyers knew from the get-go that he didn’t have a ghost of a chance of prevailing and would likely end up paying damages himself. So the fund will be needed to pay his lawyers on a fee-for-service basis – plus legal costs and damages to the other side after this play out.
    Well, it is getting ready to happen.  Brian Deer and the BMJ have countered with a suit of their own under Texas’ new anti-SLAPP statute. Andy will have to produce actual evidence to show that his defamation suit has merit.
    Unless  . . . there is still a way he can withdraw the suit and cut his losses like he did last time around.  I’ll leave it to the laywers to comment on whether that is still a possibility at this point.
    Jeffrey, Catherine – I never did see predictions from you as to how this would turn out.  What say you now?

    I’m the parent of two children who received all their vaccines and benefitted by not having to suffer through the misery and possible death caused by the illnesses that those vaccines help to prevent.

    At 101 pages, it is highly detailed and dwarfs the measly 17 page petition that was filed by Andy and his lawyers to start this process.

    One of my favorite sections is item 139. It says that after he was formally ‘erased’ from the medical register in Britain in December 2010, he was also expelled from the Royal College of Pathologists. But Andy can truthfully say that he was never expelled from the Royal College of Surgeons . . . because he has never been a member!
    Of course he IS lying when he appends the letters FRCS after his name – as he even did on the petition to the Texas court! Can anyone say “brazen”?
    This is a guy some of you think should be held up as a “hero”??

    It works  the other way round.  I can say well, that means you must be working with Wakefield in one way or the other.

     Wakefield messed up , he knows it. He can sugar coat it all he wants. The truth is if he  truly was innocent and has nothing to fear he could have filed his case in London.
